HEATED FALSE CEILING OVER WIRE PART
GENERAL
Inspite of taking measures to remove moisture from wet end part of paper machines, lot of moisture may remain in the Machine House, which causes condensate formation during winter or rainy season.
When moisture laden air with a particular Dew Point comes in contact with a surface (e.g. Roof) having a temperature equal to or lower than the dew point temperature of the air, dew is formed on that surface. This dew grows in size and ultimately results in condensate dripping. When this condensate drops directly on to the wire or press part, it seriously affects the quality and the production rate.
DESCRIPTION
In order to avoid such a situation, we have designed a simple and cost effective system. In the system supplied by us to various
Mills in INDIA, ambient air filtered and heated in Steam - Air Heat Exchangers and is then delivered (via a Centrifugal Fan & ducting) immediately below the Insulated False Ceiling through uniformly spaced supply air grilles. The side and the gable ends are closed with uninsulated aluminium sheet. The hot air keeps the surface of the False Ceiling heated above the dew point temperature of the m/c room air and prevents condensate formation. The steam consumption & power consumption in this system is very low.
